Is the Human Race Simply Insane?

It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. That is why I have to ask, are we simply insane? If we look throughout our world's history, we find exactly the same themes over and over again, GREED, POWER and OPPRESSION.

From 2000 B.C. during the times of the Mayans and Incas in Central America to around 700 B.C to 500 B.C. during the period known as the Legendary Period of Kings in the Roman Empire to the 15th century in England known as the Modern Absolutism Period where King Louis XIV was known as the perfect example of absolutism, through the 1800's in England where we were introduced to Karl Marx and to the present where we are experiencing everything from Socialism to Marxism and from Democratic Republic to Dictatorship, we, the people have experienced the same things over and over again, greed, power and oppression.

There have been starving people from the beginning of man to present. We have witnessed oppression, power and greed from the beginning of time. We have watched people dying unnecessarily from diseases that we have the ability to prevent in modern days. In the United States, the richest country in the world, we witness homeless people, starving people and people that are oppressed simply because of their class, race or religion. We are being told that prices of this commodity or another are going up because of scarcity. Let me tell you, there is no scarcity except that governments of the world make it so. If it was not for the scarcity of money being invested in certain areas such as scientific research, we would find that we have enough resources on this earth to not only feed the world but make everyone in the world rich with clean drinking water, homes, food, energy and everything else a person needs to be comfortable. Do you believe for one minute that there are not enough resources in this world for everyone for many years to come?

All of these things have been going on from the beginning. Why? Is it because we the people are to busy with living our own lives that we are simply not aware? Is it because we don't care? Is it because we don't want to know? Is it because we are unable to put a stop to the greedy , power hungry, bottom feeding, treasonous mongrels who call themselves our leaders? Or, could it be that we, the human race, are simply insane?

There are examples throughout the course of human history that makes me ask the question, "Are we insane?" We seem to do the same things over and over again as communities, societies, civilizations. We allow some blowhard, who claims to be the answer to all of our problems, to lead the way for us, simply to find out that all he/she really wanted was riches, power and control over all our lives. They want only to become and remain the elite our country and the best way to do that is to make sure that the people remain in an oppressed situation.

Our founding fathers had the right idea, allow people to be free and prosper on their own and keep government small and out of our hair. As individuals and communities and even states, we have the ability to make things happen for the betterment of all. As a nation, there is no way to be able to control the greed and power that corrupts because each state elects their own representatives and if a particular state or states allow the corrupt to get into office, on a national level it becomes impossible for all other states to be aware of that fact. We have the ability to oversee what occurs within our communities and state, but there is no way to control as a nation. That is why the federal government was meant to be small so that it could not overpower the people.

What have we the people, in this greatest nation on earth been doing? For the most part, it seems as if we have been sitting back in our big overstuffed loungers, eating God only knows what, watching some idiot on a so-called reality show jump through hoops on our big screen TV. All the while, our ever-diligent so-called representatives have been doing all they can to strap our hands behind our backs while at the same time giving the big bankers and corporations our hard earned money to bail them out of a big casino bet they made and lost.

There is no doubt that we are currently in a dire situation for the state of our nation. Since our last election of a new president, new laws and bills and spending have been moving at the speed of sound.We are being told that all of these things need to be done immediately or we will all be doomed. We are being asked to rush through a health care bill that isn't even scheduled to go into affect until 2013. Why would something like that have to be rushed?

I don't believe that it is over. We certainly are in a bad situation. With all of the debt that has already occurred, our representatives are still attempting to produce a health care bill behind closed doors that will allow the government to be in business for themselves and compete with health insurance companies in our country. If they succeed with this and if our president signs a treaty with other countries that will introduce a new world government that we did not get to vote on and will also make us slaves to that government, then we will have a long, long ways to go to get back to what most of us would consider normal in this country.

So, I'll ask the question again, "Is the Human Race Simply Insane"? I really don't think so. I believe that in the past and in other countries, the people were left with no choice. What do you mean, no choice? We always have a choice. We outnumber the government.The government can doing nothing without our permission, right?

In our country, our forefathers set out plans for our government that makes it very difficult to be overtaken by a fascist or marxist or socialist group wanting to take over our country and lives. John Adams said, "There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation, one is by the sword, the other is by debt." Currently, our country is so far in debt that it is estimated that to pay this debt off would require approximately 300 thousand dollars from each and every person in our country. Think about that, children that have not been born yet or have not even been thought about yet by their parents are already in debt. Not something I like to think about concerning my grandchildren and someday, great grandchildren.

There you go, in one shot heard round the world, we the people of the greatest country that has ever been in existence have been conquered, have lost all of our rights. We will have become a third world nation overnight. Is it really that bad? Is there no hope or no way out of this situation? Do we really have to settle for this?

You've heard the horror stories about the Holocaust in World War 2 or the travesties of China's Chairman Mao where at least 20 million people died during the famine that followed the Great Leap between 1959 and 1961. In the cultural revolution that followed, Mao used the Army and student population against his opponents. Once again millions of people suffered and died during this five year period.

I believe that now, more than any other time in our country's history, it is most important that we begin to concentrate on our children and grandchildren. It is important that we as parents and grandparents teach our young about the real history of our country. They have to understand that this country is the closest example to truly free people that has ever existed on earth. They have to understand what it means to be able to make your own decisions and live your life the way you choose.

I recently had a visit with my 9 year old grand-daughter and asked her how she was doing in school. I was shocked to find out that she is being shown movies on global warming and going green and also about Barack Obama. She is being fed propaganda that does nothing but brainwash her into believing that all of the things our government is currently attempting to do is right and for the best when we know that all of these things are nothing more than ways for our elitists to make a lot of money and gain more power over the people.. We need to begin paying more attention to our children and what they are being taught in school. When we find something offensive being taught in these schools, we need to speak up and let them know that we want our children to be taught the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic and the true history of our country.

We also need to begin educating ourselves. We need to take some time away from our television sets and spend some time reading about the history of our country. We need to be informed so that we will more readily be able to identify the things that are actually taking place in our country. We need to pay closer attention to our local government and be sure that when we vote, we know exactly who the person we are voting for really is. What do they stand for? What are their intentions once they get into office? Everything begins within our local government. The people that we vote into office locally, often end up in office nationally.

If we only make our decision from television ads then we are the ones responsible for the tragedies that take place in this country, not the elected officials. They were only do what they know best, which is getting elected, and once that has been accomplished, getting re-elected. That is all they know how to do, even though they tell us that they know what we need and want. We need to understand that they represent us and they should do everything within their power to make this country into what we want, not what they want.

A very big part of the problem of greed and power is all of the lobbying that takes place. Representatives getting their hands greased for taking particular stands for a certain lobbyist. I don't care what a representative brings back to their state if it is all ill-gotten gains. If he/she had to say yea or nay to a particular bill in order to get something for his/her state instead of doing what is right, then that person needs to be gone. Remember, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I am sure that all of them have found many ways to excuse their actions just as a liar or a thief finds ways to reason that their actions were just.

I remember during the last presidential election, thinking about Barack Obama and the things that he was saying. I was very impressed with his stature and the the smooth way that he was able to speak. There was one thing that really bothered me however. Who is he? What does he really stand for? What direction is he wanting to take our country? What changes does he mean? He talked a great game and one over the majority, but did any of those majority know who he really was? I never got the answers to those questions until after he was in office. We don't ever want this to happen again. I don't believe our country would be strong enough to go through this again. Footnote: I'm sure you noticed all of the books that I placed from Amazon. The reason for this is not for the sole purpose of making money, even though that would be very nice, but instead to recommend to my readers books that I have read and have found extremely useful in educating myself about all of these topics. I used to be an avid television watcher. I spent far to much time wasted in front of a television. Fortunately for me, the networks have degraded themselves so very much over the past ten years or so that I took up reading. I have found that I have gotten my imagination back.
